MISSION STATEMENT
'Partnering with Life Enhancing Organizations
for the Benefit of Healthier Families and Better Communities'
What that means to us: We want to raise funds and award scholarships for underprivileged individuals to attend life enhancing camps and programs that will benefit them, their families and communities in a positive way. We also want to strengthen those programs for long lasting results so we assist in follow-up mentorship programs to continue the growth process.
VISION STATEMENT
'Within the next three years grow Guiding Influence into a position where it can;
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Guiding Influence is an Alaska Registered 501c3 status Non-Profit organization which provides opportunities for youth to attend camps and other life enhancing programs. Guiding Influence raises funds through a variety of fundraising options including general donations, events, raffles, membership sales, advertising sales and collecting in-kind donations. Guiding Influence also partners with other like-minded organizations for cross promoting and fundraising with an end goal of strengthening its mission. Board and Senior members engage youth in a follow-up/mentorship program to continue the growth process. Guiding Influence strives to remain in the 90-95% range of donations going directly to the kids. The remaining 5-10% goes to operating costs. All of our staff, board and senior members are unpaid volunteer positions.

- Award twelve scholarships a year for youth to attend Camp Iron Sights ($54,000).
- Improve and expand our follow-up mentorship program to include a youth group landing site for when the kids return from camp, more mentors for regular contact with campers and regular reports to board and membership of the kids progress.
- Be open to and connect with other groups that share our beliefs and goals for the purpose of mutual growth.
